Where to begin?! I can’t thank Emily *enough* for so enchantingly capturing the most beautiful day of our relationship thus far. Andrew planned our proposal with Emily’s artistic vision in mind. After going above and beyond in a pre-planning walk-through, they decided she would secretly capture the big moment on a Central Park overlook FROM INSIDE THE BUSHES (this woman is committed to the shot, people). She and her husband Gardner took care to clear the area before we arrived, and after the “YES!” they waltzed us all around the park for celebratory photos. They’re the easiest people to be around. Emily communicates like the pro that she is for the entirety of the process. And above all this she brings such a spirit of peace. It had always dreamt of this magical day, but being able to look back on it with Emily’s glorious images of joy and whimsy is something else. She so perfectly captured us in the city we love. I can’t wait to make a home here with Andrew, where we will display these special photos for years to come.

Emily is a baby whisperer with a beautiful, artistic eye! She had our 3-week old content and photogenic for the duration of the session—even though he’d been crying for us all morning before she arrived! Our session was so fun and the images we have of Gabe so tiny are perfect and invaluable to us. Emily even managed to capture some handsome smiles from our newborn! Not only did Emily do an amazing job photographing our wedding - I mean, these photos are just STUNNING - she also was a confident, joy-filled presence throughout the day. She met with me beforehand to go over details, looked at the way light came into the space, and gave great suggestions (like making a photo shoot on the rooftop happen!). Emily is the best! We hired her for a family photo shoot and could not be happier with the experience and the final photos. She spent so much time before the shoot scouting the location at the time of day we would be meeting to get the best light. Our daughter was 5 and son was 8 months at the time of the shoot and she captured both of their personalities so perfectly. She was warm, thoughtful, patient, professional, and just a joy to be with for a couple hours on a Saturday afternoon. She listened to all of our desires for what we wanted to see and got to know us well enough to capture shots we never would have thought of but are now some of our favorites. Emily was a dream to work with. She's a gifted photographer and an extremely kind-hearted person.

I’m so glad we worked with Emily for our wedding. I hadn’t considered how it would feel to invite a stranger into the mix for such an intense and emotional moment. Trust me - Emily is the stranger you want to have there! She brought such joy and reverence to the event, but also had a beautiful way of diffusing nerves with her adaptability, sense of humor, and “rooting for you” spirit. Her work is just stunning. My husband and I are not “photo people” and had no interest in airbrushed, staged shots for Instagram. Emily captured the tone and essence of the day in such a genuine way. We feel it really looks like us (okay, maybe a LITTLE better than normal “us”...but still us!). We revisit our photos all the time because they truly take us back. We can’t recommend her more highly!
